EARTHRISE
A sky-filled stream of beauty passes: earthrise in glancing sunlight
Followed by grey-white clouds and blue patches that stay til evensong.
The beauty speaks: Do not be afraid, I am with you. I respond : Thank You
And feed the dog, and make the coffee, almost awake to face the day
With gladness and singleness of heart.

Ofter gentlemen would reject the principle of lavish affirmation when it was presented in the First Course.
A man would say: Nah, I don't do that. I tell it llke it is!
I would reply. THANK YOU for sharing your experience. This week as we work I will use this principle. At the end of the week I will ask you how useful my use of the principle was to YOUR LEARNING.
Inevitably, on
Friday, the man would say:
"I'm going to try than with my
students. It helped me learn this week!"
